Hi, I have found some cheap 5l cans of Comma semi synthetic diesel oi for £9.99, its service spec is ACEA A3 B3 API CF4 CF do you thihnk this would be ok in a 300tdi with 60k on the clock

Brilliant price but I dont want to blow the old girl just to save a few quid

So long as it is 10w-40 and B3 it'll be fine.

Its a 15w40 semi synthetic which I think is ok

Regular changes of a cheap oil is better than longer service intervals of an expensive oil. I run cheap supermarket engine oil without a problem and change every 4000 miles (roughly every 9 months for me)

I run OMD 90 through mine. Great oil and it's free to anyone in the armed forces :-D
