I bought a new timing belt kit for my 300...

been reading through this on difflock: DIFFLOCK - 300tdi Timing Belt Change

anyone got any pointers or advice before I rip into it??
Can I do it without the locking pin for the flywheel or can it be improvised wiv an appropriate sized bolt??

You got a new gasket for the timing cover?

You can improvise a timing locking pin by drilling through a wading plug and using a drill bit/bolt to line the flywheel up

yeah , I got the whole kit gasket bearings etc..

got it all stripped down to find I got the wrong bloody idler pully.
so it's gonna have to wait till monday to swap it for the right one!
