it will bolt straight up ,but hi/lo selector housing on t/box would need swapping from your old box ,also there would be no provision for hi/lo sensor or interlock if fitted, ive fitted senor as a sitch in the cab on defenders ive fitted those boxes too
If I understood well the shifter linkage from the 300tdi will be ok I just will have to swap the selector housing from the td5 box to 300tdi box.?

presumably you will want to fit selector housing off your old box so that you can use the cable with tdi t/box
no I want to use the tdi selector housing as I dont have the difflock position on my old one.

that can ber done but you need to change gear box top for the 300td one plus associated linkage etc

hi guys - can the gearbox top be changed without removing the box - im looking to do this mod to my td5
i heard the r380,s all have difflock you just need to fit a 300tdi linkage is this correct ??

yes, lt230s have difflock not the gear box

Not all td5 transfer boxes have the difflock internals, if yours has a spigot on top then it has it fitted. Failing that you need to swop the front housing from a 300 box to the td5.

cool ok - i now know the transfer box is a lt230 - will go on a hunt for the spiggot
