Just put myself on a steep learning curve before removing my sump to clean it up and refit with new gasket compound - I don't think I need any help with this but some suggestions to alternatives to RTV Silicon Sealant would be appreciated.
I'm thinking that this may be difficult to find down here in N. Devon so are there other compounds which will do the job? I could send off for some but I don't trust that it will arrive by Sunday when the forecasters say it may stop raining and I can get on with it.
I will put my hands up and admit that I thought before tonight that there would be a conventional gasket!
