Hi

i have noticed a loss of power in my defender and missing about 10 - 15 mph top end and not as much grunt on pull away.

i can still hear the turbo spin up a bit but doesnt as much as it used to would like idea on what could be causing this. (injectors, turbo, etc)

it starts first time everytime with no hassle and runs ok just missing a few horses somewhere.

have you changed your oil, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter recently? Mine started getting sluggish a couple of months ago and after a quick service is now back up to speed. Looka the the thread on veg oil filter cos treworgy had the same problem.

yeh about 400 miles ago i changed oil oil filter fuel filters and air filters the problem happend about 2 months after the change

if you don't mind me asking did you notice this after you'd not long filled up?
i filled up at a supermarket a few weeks ago an my disco ran like a heap of ****e for a whole week, i changed fuel filter, air filter an still no joy
until i filled up at my normal filling station
now she runs like a dream again
supermarket filling stations are ****e

i fill p at tesco normally but not noticed it before and my van runs ok still so dont think its bad fuel

Turbo hoses? Especially the 90 degree bend one. They can delaminate inside and block passage of air.

i got a tank full of sh*** from tescos twice i will never go back no matter how cheep the diesel is

same here tesco fuel is ****e! try your local garage but sainsbuys is good fuel you get what you pay for mate
if i fill up at tesco or morrisons i get about 50 miles to a tenner and it runs like a heap o ****e
fill up at shell or sainsbury i get 70-80 to a tenner and runs as smooth as a babys arse
