Hi Everyone,

hoping someone can help me out here.

Ive just brought a disco (as above 'N') in last 4 weeks on two occasions the car has been running and all of a sudden the hazard lights start flashing, ( but the hazard switch does not illuminate). I can not turn off with the key fob, so have to take key out (the green indicator light is still flashing, but no noise of alarm), and then when putting the key back in and turning on to pre heat mode the hazards go off, and I can carry on.

I'm assuming this is something to do with the immobiliser...... please can anyone assist , thank you

Nope, its the central locking inertia sensor activating it only normally works to unlock locked doors in a crash and activates the hazard lights, switchingf of the ignition switch resets the system it appears that your is over sensitive sensor.

Mine used to do that if I drove over a big rut too quickly.

It also disables the central locking system for a while.

I believe the sensor can be disconnected (back right hand side of engine bay). Although there's obviously safety implications in doing that.

No it can't, it's all part of the of the alarm/cl ECU's.

Thank you all very much for a fast reply
it's going to a landy specialist localy for
handbreak and top ups, I'll see if he can
