Hi Mate, firstly your Freelander being a 2003 Td4 is a Freelander 1 not 2,,
I think your referring to the face lifted version,
Freelander 2 didn't start till 2006 ish..
There will be some clever people along soon to help out but the 3 amigos is normally the
brake switch or the ABS module if I remember right..I changed my switch out for the newer
design and I have had no further issues,
not sure on the stop start issue it may be something completely unrelated to the amigos..

Scenario : it first started on a cold day heater on sat there 3 amigos cum on and it is as if the thermostat opened and they went of and it did not stop this happen a few days then it started to do the same but stop the engine i thought it might be the battery I got a new one but it still did the same . But the 3 amigos don't always cum on it just seems to be In cold or damp days . It can be alright for weeks then all of sudden they are back ?
