been intermittent for a long time, wife calls me on way home and tells me they have been on perment all weekend any ways noticed front breaks sweeking last week when I had chance too drive it could it be that the break pads need changing I done drivers side bearing months back so carnt be that

The only sure way to find out what's going on is to get a diagnostic set on it.
It'll be cheaper than trying to guess in the long run.

+1 for that ^^^...the brake pads would not trigger the amigos to be permannent whatsoever

just had a gander and now she has informed be that the SRS light has been on perm as well why do they all ways decide to let you know before you go too work for the week ok diagnostics if any one near Stafford has one too plug in I will sort them the cah out rather the LDR Dealer prices
