Seems that when replacing 225's in pairs you also need to check the rolling raduis (effective circumference).
Read that Michellin put a warning out about mixing their 17-225-55 Synchrones with their replacement Lattitudes on the FL as both their tyres are within their "allowed manufacturing tollerances" to both be "the same size" but are too different to be safely mixed on the FL.
If one manufacturer is concerned at their tollerances in house then buyer beware if you mix makes !
Seems we need to either stick with changing sets of four/five, change in two's of the same make & type and/or check the actual circumference when we change tyres - especially on the 17" and I suspect the 18" rim sizes?
Using the Tyre Size Calculators to compare circumference is fine - but where abouts are they set in relation to the allowed manufacturing tollerances? I suspect at the ideal median point? :scratching_chin:
I'm Confuzed _ fink I'll go take some more flu meds now :confused2:
