Will these fit a 05 freelander?
There is a note saying spacer may be required on later models.
Not worth buying if thats the case

Thanx guys

I can't understand why anyone would say that you need spacers for these?????

I think it is cause some things are changed after the 2004 models
Not sure but it said so in the listing so I thought I double check
Looks like the seller is covering his back just in case

215/65/16 will fit all FL1's provided they are fitted to the correct wheels for the year of the vehicle. It's the standard size for 16" wheels.

You can go to 215/70 R16 without any trouble, this gives you access to more AT tyres and makes the speedo accurate (mine reads 1mph fast which is perfect.)

It all depends what these tyres and wheels end up going for.
Not buying if they are going above a certain amount as the tyres aint exactly what I want

I arrowed it down to Falken , Maxxis and General Grabber tyres in my search for some beefy tread that is good and not going to break the bank as I also will change the VCU.
Falken and General are in top of the list in that order.

Both very good tyres if you can't stretch to BFG. Falken's aren't quite as good under wet braking as the grabbers, but they are a bit cheaper at most places.

Personally I would say go for the grabbers, they are a great tyre from everything I have seen and read :).

The grabbers look better too
It's these Falkens I put on top of my list after spending a few evenings weighing up tyres
Falken LA-AT T110

Rough road driving sounds just right for what I need
That bit of off roading I will ever do shouldn't be too much for those tyres
Probably some green laning at times

I really don't want to do a lot of rough off roading as my lively hood depends on me having a van
