Hi have had my 200 tdi for a month know and done all the repairs required apart from the timeing belt.
Is it worth changing the water pump and anything else when i do the belt
The engine has done 140,000 and belt was last done at 70,000 .
Sorry for all the questions but its the first landy ive owned.

if it feels u/s change it , other wise easy to do at later date and not dear (about £13) dont get cheap belt or you will regret it

I would do the water pump, belt, idler and tensioner. The parts aren't expensive and doing the job isn't difficult but the piece of mind you will get from knowing its all sorted will be worth it.

Make sure yu get new long bolts, as they are prone to shearing and seizing in the alloy housing.
When refitting use plenty of coppaslip around the shaft of the bolts to allay it happening again.

Weren't in a field. Just in a garage block with no power or light :(.

Mind yu - mite just as well have been ;).
