well iv just replaced my 2.5 n/a with a disco 200tdi that cost me £475 off ebay and used the old lt77 box (got it recond first) and all the mods you need you can get from steve parker and its around £300 and that make the job easy, and the n/a unless its a good one aint the nicest to driv up hills when your towing as it a little n the slugish side! hope that helps

you can get n/a new from the mod for around £300. tony £475 is a great price. stick out for a 200 if i were you as ive got a n/a and it really isnt good. hills are a nightmare and getting anywhere reasonably quick is out of the question. a 200tdi is what you want.
so a disco 200 with mods looks to be around 7-800 and a straight, drop in, beefender 200tdi is around 8-900.

That was £500, another 200TDi with all fittings, rad, loom, relays and clutch was ended early after reaching £470......
The Defender engine went for £850!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to look for a crunched disco I think!

I think the cost of getting here would be silly money!
Not sure if the auto version has anything different on the engine?
