Right confession time! coming home from work felt the car splutter and thought uh oh, luckily 100 yards on the left one petrol station, so filling it up i thought to my self well at least i can work out the mpg dead accurate.
266 miles divided by 51.9 litre x 4.55 litres= 23.31 thinks thats ****ing ****.
Like a saddo i can remember the figures when i first got the car and also ran out of diesel after a full tank, 318 miles again an empty tank so assume 52 litres again equals 27mpg and NOT the 31mpg i had stated earlier.
The lower mpg above is my daily commute and is always poor as its lots of stop/start town work and a fast long steep uphill stretch, the higher figure was some commuting and a long run up the motorway and some action in a pay and play and back again.
Just to add to the confusion i have recently gone from 29 to 31 inch tyres and fitted recon injectors.

Mine is slowly losing MPG started at 25 back in march last year now down to 21ish for some reason,. Im thinking possinbly cam belt needs changing and a good service but I have been told that LR engines love a good flush and clean out. So I shall be doing that too,.

put a new air filter in , be surprise how much differance that will make
