Hi I'm getting my old 90 back on the road and when I parked it up it ran ok but 3yr later it do t like to keep running...it starts with 1 engine turn and will idol but if I rev it up or start to drive it soon as I stop it cuts out...it's got some of the same old diesel in it but I put 5lt new in her so she's sat on about 1/4 atm...I gave her a service a few weeks before I parked her up but I decided to change the oil again last week...should I just put £15-£20 new fuel in and a redex shot or is there something else I can do??

I would of dropped the old fuel before putting fresh in, you checked fuel filter ?
Will it run until you switch it off on idle?

It starts fine and ticks over fine but soon as I start revving her and let her drop to idol it stalls out

Fresh fuel and filter, then if no go check lift pump, diaphragm may have split after standing so long.

Check to anti stall mech on the injection pump isn't seized up.

I may be wrong but dont think 200 had that, think 300 has though.

Ok I should be going to look for abit tmoz but I may just change fuel filter and put £20 in and a redex but I won't do that till mid/ end of the week as I'm just doing the last few things to pass a mot but thanks for the input I'll give it a go
