Might have the chance to buy a 200tdi Discovery thats just had a new 1/2 engine but is blowing oil out of the pipe at the back of the turbo onto the exhaust pipe(thats the only info I have on location of the problem)
According to the seller the turbo is ok and the engines compression is good.

So,what could the problem be?He,s suggesting valve stem oils seals causing the pressurisation but I,m not sure at all

If stem seals have gone there'll be a black cloud on start up and would have thought that if its bad enough to cause serious pressurisation then it'll be pretty smoky all the time

depends on which pipe is blowing oil out but if little ruber pipe is worn turbo

So at the right money it might be worth a punt?

Can do the vale stem seals and have replaced a turbo on a previous 2.5 TD I fitted to a series .Hmmmmmmmm.............
