Hi,
Having just installed an overhauled/refurbished gearbox valve body on my 2006 TD6, I am having intermittent Trans Failsafe warnings.
Is there anyway of resetting the gearbox adaptive values without a Nanocom?
It seems every second ignition cycle the warning comes up. On scanning the fault codes with a Hawkeye pro I only get one code come up. P0733 Gear monitoring 3.
The valve body has been tested as part of the refurbishment. If I activate the gear 3 solenoid using Hawkeye the command completes fine.
When the warning comes up, if I pull over, remove the key and start her up again, changes gear and runs fine.
Have read the adaptive values should be reset after valve body replacement. Hoping this is the cause of my issue. Tried the technique of holding throttle pedal down, ignition on, wait 30 secs - ignition off then releasing the pedal. But doesn't seem to make any difference. Cheers!
