Can anyone tell me if you can just change the remote rf reciever in the headling by just swapping the parts or does it need plugging in a diagnostic machine. Dealer has confirmed its the rf reciever at fault .also is it hard to get at in the headlining thanks

If its anything like the p38 one its plug and play as it only receives and sends on the codes to the Becm.

Plus 1 what @brianp38dse has said

if i remember correctly , after fitting the RF receiver u leave the engine running for a min of 6 x mins

u may have a bad connection to the rf unit

i’ve taken a headliner out of mine but it’s a D3 so i don’t know how it compares , not for the faint hearted due to risk of it bending , so have to ensure u support it , make sure u hands are spotless any marks and are a pig to get out

i removed mine completely as i was fitting new airbags , but u should be able to just rest the headliner on top of the seats

am trying to remember where the rf unit is exactly fitted , will have a look through some pics for u
