Hi all
I'm new here so please bare with me. We have a 2005 Discovery 3 absolutely love it, had new brake pads put on, a new master slave cylinder put on and a new battery and since then the front brakes keep locking up, they get really hot and have on occassion smoked quite badly. No one seems to know what the problem is! This is our first Discovery could anyone please help we are getting desperate.

Back to the garage, dont drive it until fixed, they have done something wrong.

hi had similar issues as wife was using the car started with shaking steering wheel here and there later breaks just got 300 Celsius the front burning not all the time but on daily basis and one or the other side or both and pedal getting solid ....

2 x replaced front calipers ,discs, pads and still same ,changed 4 tires , did 4x4 wheel alignment and still same .... then i gone over the electronics and looked how this works and that is where i got to the solution(the car had before here and there loss of communication error :CAN communication with vehicle dynamics control but back then i was just not paying attention)


i both a used ABS module from same model and now 2 days in and all like a dream


so ABS is the issue !!!


i will post asap the way to look for same ABS ....... or closest ......so no coding was needed just replaced the electronics and done ..... first start with errors and on 2 nd one all cleared ....no lights
