She's been sitting in the garage for three weeks. Today, no glow plug indicator light on the dash. Motor turns over healthily but she won't start. Any thoughts?

Thanks, Tom

Put a charger on the battery... the fact that it turns over doesnt mean it has enough "juice" to activate all the systems. Td5's doesnt like fainted batterys. The ECM controlls the glow plug pre heat period based on Temp.senor and Voltage inputs.... if these are not in a proper range it will use a default strategy and the engine will be dufficult to start. So charge the battery well or use a starting charger.

I'll do that. Thanks for the prompt response!

Once the battery has been charged overnight, try starting the engine BUT First!! do the air purge procedure:

1. Turn the key to pos II and leave for 3 mins, then start the car.

You should be able to hear the pump working during that period. If you can't, you have a pump issue.

if you cant hear the fuel pump then it could be the inertia switch . they seem to always give me problems
