Hi,

I am new to this so please be gentle. I have finally took the plunge and bought a 2000 P38 4.6 Vogue which i love. I got it home and realised that the washers for the front. rear and headlights don't work. I have checked both the fusebox under the driver seat and the one under the bonnet and all of the fuses are fine. I am assuming it is an electrical problem because all three sub systems have failed but don't know what to do next. Please help!!!!!!

As Kieth says, stalk on steering column. All my pumps were dead, got a used one from breaker for a tenner, fitted during MoT, been fine for months now.

Hey guys,

thanks for all your advice. I changed the stalk and..........no difference. What next? any ideas???

Hmm. I'd say time to check power is getting to the pumps when the switch is pressed by unplugging each pump and sticking a meter in the connector.

May be worth trying another relay or checking for fuse box corrosion too. Sure the stalk is a good one?

The washers are operated by the BECM, I would check the connectors on the BECM for corrosion and the wiring under the carpet by the door and in the A post for damage.

God this is getting complicated!!! i love my range but there are so many possibilities. tried to get access to the pumps but can't get anywhere near them. how do i do it? sorry to be a pain but as i said i am completely new to all of this
