So I've come to the conclusion that my fuse box is to blame for my heater fans not working I've found a brand new one cheap that is for a 1999-2002 2.5 dse model but mine is a late 1998 2.5dse will it fit:confused:

Late 98 could have the same fuse box, only the part number will tell you.
there are differences as the later ones have an extra diode for the intank pump. It's possible the connectors are different too and connector identification numbers changed at some point. Could be a lot of hassle.
Have you checked the relays are OK?
It is sometimes possible to repair the fuse box if you are handy with a soldering iron. Also if there has been oveheating the connectors underneath will need attention as the spring tension will have gone.

I fitted a later fuse box to my 98, think it was from a 99. I did not know there was a difference at that time. luckily everything works as it should.

No it won't. New box MUST be for your model year. There is no such animal as a 1999 to 2002 fuse box. Box changed in 1999 and again in 2001.
