Is there any difference between 200TDi and 300TDi axles?
I can identify from from rear but as I have a pair of each, I am having difficulty in figuring out which is the 200TDi pair and which is the 300TDi. There are no diffs in either.

I can only tell by the 1/2 shafts

Not that I can see, under 1/2" of rust and grease... Where should it be?

If you look at the owners manual it shows where the number is.
but it can be a PITA to actually find.

It’s normally near the axle breathers unless they have fell off with rust or grinder

Early 200 Tdi have a solid metal stub shaft (shaft driving) and later 200Tdi have a removable cap, underneath is a circlip and shim for the driveshaft and CV joint,

Is that for rear, as all fronts have caps.

Nope the front on my early 1990 200tdi has a short solid driveshaft held to the driving flange with 6 bolts
And the later 200tdi I believe from 1993 had caps,
