Hi all and a happy Christmas to you ... spend it at the dinner table and not under the Landy if you can :)
Anyway I've been told that you can fit a 300tdi turbo unit onto a 200tdi engine with no modifications at all. Anyone know if this is true and if so what benefits it would give? I was told buy the fella at Mibcomponents who made my 1/4 chassis but he was only passing on the info and didn't know what it would add to the performance if any.
Ta.

I think the 300 turbos boost at .7 bar instead of the something like .6 bar of the 200. I THINK
If that's true then you would be able to add more fuel.

You can adjust the boost of the 200 unit so no gain there, not sure if they're interchangeable though.

Mine at full boost is 1.3bar

Cool .. thanks guys, don't think I'll bother then until I actually need to do it. (won't be long no doubt!) :)

In that case I'll defo be spending the Christmas bonus on some Insa Dakars and forgetting about the engine ... I guess if it ain't broke don't even think about it! ... cheers fella :)
tbh you could get the same power gains from an engine service,an intercooler clean, some decent samco type hoses,etc..

fair play if you getting 6 bar boost what is your turbo a garage compressor :D only joking i see you put " I THINK"

I read it as 0.6 and 0.7 bar which is about right.
My turbo is turned up to 1.2 bar but I do have a TD5 with some electronic wizadry to fool the ECU.
