fookin numpty. i'm with hughesy on this one, some idiot telling me a rusty motor is worth thousands makes me even less likely to buy it than i was before.
so what do you reckon ultimatum it's the landy or me from the mrs?
or decided to buy it, has had it sat somewhere 'idling for half an hour' on a regular basis, but hasn't a clue where to start, so has decided to get rid before it disapears into a pile of rust....the chassis is great, but you can buy a new one for not much.....

If a fully restored S3 was seen and sold for £16k then someone somewhere bought it.
If this was restored to it's original spec with original parts or quality replacements, then it's possible it could be worth £20k to the right collector/buyer, it's got alot more character than a new Defender that's for sure.

Where has he said its worth 20k as it is He says if its restored to a good level and he is probably right Its not like he has it up for 15k, he has started it at 99p with no reserve so obviously isnt after a set figure but knows it will generate interest.
i think it would make a great project for someone

Not if you use Britpart parts as he suggests!
and ofc if you're likely to purchase this to restore it, you're going to use Britpart because the nice man in the ebay listing says so....
