With Izzy's body off its time to start thinking about its future. As per the other thread, I dont think the current chassis has one.

But that kind of depends on what modifications from standard have been previously incorporated, and how easy they might be to replicate on a replacement galvanised version.

Quick summary of what has been previously changed:

Originally a 2.5NAD now a 2.8 Isuzu.
R380 gearbox
Salisbury disc rear axle - originally drum brakes.

Now the chassis has clearly been repaired with a new centre cross member:

Was this to accomodate the axle change? Or was it rotten and a replacement like for like?

And if you really want a detailed look, here's the same but in glorious 3D:

Basically, the nagging questions is thus: Will a galvanised 2.5NAD chassis be a like-for-like? Or are we into the territory of mods and changes?

Not looked under the seat box yet but do believe the engine mounts need no mods to accomodate the Isuzu.

I am not really familiar with the details here...needs a more experienced pair of eyes who could, if nothing else, ask a few more questions.

Any and all input most welcome.

That A frame cross member would have been replaced like for like. Even has the 4 holes for a bose unit (sometimes on range roves & early 110 for a self levelling devise) Later models use a tubular type for the rear arms.

There are some nice galv fuel tanks to replace that 1.

Engine mounts… unsure of them.Chat with the chassis builder to make sure they in correct place.

Love the 3D model
