Hi,
My 90 is fitted with a 2.5 N/A which has done 116K,
In the last couple of months it seems to have developed a top end rattle.
It seems like a loud tick, I serviced it last week and checked the tappet clearances and adjusted accordingly ( nothing was excessively out of adjustment)
Unfortunately work got in the way and I didn't get time to try replacing the injectors 1 by 1 to see if it is a diesel knock.
Has anyone had a similar experience with these engines?
I know someone will recommend a 200Tdi conversion, and this is in the Grand scheme of things but trying to find a good 200tdi up in the north of Scotland which I can see running is like trying to find the elusive hens teeth.
