The Hawkeye is a "somewhere near" set but the nanocom is pretty damn good and worth the money.Nothing like as good. As a matter of fact in my view, crap would be a fairer description of Hawkeye.

Go on, bite the bullet, it also fits snug into the glove box.
We were out mooching in the woods the other week when the car dropped to its knees with an eas fault. Out with the nanocom and reset in minutes... There actually wasn't a fault?
The proof is in the pudding as they say ey' Tony.I have had a Nanocom longer than anyone else on here. I know what it is capable of. Some say it can't do what i say it can do. They are wrong. But i am not going to argue with them, let them think what they want to think no skin off my nose.
Well guys I purchased a nanocom and the fault on the gearbox coming up is solenoid power fault.I have had a Nanocom longer than anyone else on here. I know what it is capable of. Is it an expensive job, not something that could be done diy or is it worth replacing the boxSomething in the valve block then. Whomsoever you get to look at it make sure they know what they are doing.

It is DIY if you read the correct sources don't follow rave for god sake.Is it an expensive job, not something that could be done diy or is it worth replacing the box
Any recommendations on who could do it or do you reckon it's worth just replacing the box as a whole, I reset the fault with the nanocom and it hasnt played up since, also I noted the battery was reading 11.9v without the engine on just second notch, then upto about 13.9 with engine running and all electrics on. What are the recommended voltages and do you think low power to the solenoid could be caused by a bad batteryIt is DIY if you read the correct sources don't follow rave for god sake.
I had a gearbox on the bench out of a 4.0 Gems that had be rebuilt, only issue was it would put you through the windscreen everytime it changed gear, turned out that one of the valve and spring combinations in the valve block was backwards.
The tech had been following RAVE which i'm not surprised at, the gearbox rebuild section is a joke.
Also worth noting, your tranny is probably due a rebuild if it has been slipping for an extended period, the clutches inside are wafer thin, so any loss of line pressure will cause detrimental damage.
Nothing like as good. As a matter of fact in my view, crap would be a fairer description of Hawkeye.
Change the battery low voltage is a system killer. And possibly what caused the fault in the first place.Any recommendations on who could do it or do you reckon it's worth just replacing the box as a whole, I reset the fault with the nanocom and it hasnt played up since, also I noted the battery was reading 11.9v without the engine on just second notch, then upto about 13.9 with engine running and all electrics on. As said low voltage is a killer, and probably caused your fault..Any recommendations on who could do it or do you reckon it's worth just replacing the box as a whole, I reset the fault with the nanocom and it hasnt played up since, also I noted the battery was reading 11.9v without the engine on just second notch, then upto about 13.9 with engine running and all electrics on. I'll try swapping the battery and see if it's that however it's just thrown the fault again and the car would hardly move forwardAs said low voltage is a killer, and probably caused your fault..
11.9 is a dead battery, time for a new un.
Yeah I'm showing good voltage and still throwing the solenoid power fault, strange it's not telling me which one it is, need a gearbox specialist I assume then. Might be cheaper just getting a used boxDid you swap with a new battery?
Fully charged?
You need a serious battery with these vehicles
