I did Albert before posting, but the results were inconclusive.
Ok, my issue: when I bought my 2A the other month it came with 11 months MOT. Upon my first proper look around the engine bay I notice the battery isn't fixed (issue 1). Then when looking around I notice I only have a 4 cell battery instead of a 6 cell one which I've seen on others (issue 2). Then I thought, maybe I just need to buy the bit that fixes the battery to the tray... but I can only find one which fits a 6 cell battery (issue 3). Plus the other day I flooded the engine and only managed 4 / 5 engine turn overs before the battery was flat (issue 4).
Yes I know the bigger one will still fix my 4 cell battery down, but I'm getting the feeling the battery is too small and I really should be sourcing a 6 cell one.
most landy owners fit strongest battery that fits carryer ,regards fixing it securly unless your doing concorse standard its fairly earsy to convert/make somthing up. my disco ones made up and mot guy has no probs with it . hunt in most scrappys will get couple of J type bolts then flat bar over top ,job done
I got a Bosch full size one for about £75 from Andrew Page it fits perfectly and will crank the engine many many times before running down (I'd been driving with an alternator for a while). Also, it stands seems to stand up to abuse, like being left flat pretty well. Fits standard tray too (I'm pretty sure same size as on a 2A). A good motor factor should be able to sort you one out that fits given the model or measurements.
