Does anywhere sell kits of all the componenets needed to overhaul a 2.25 Diesel engine.

I have seen the same kits for gearboxes for sale, but not engines.

If not, is there a list of the components available anywhere?

Thanks for any info.

No one does a rebuild kit due to all the various sizes of piston and bearing required if the engine is not standard. I am just doing mine with +0.030" pistons and standard crankshaft bearings. You need to strip and check first before you order parts.

Thanks for the replies. I was talking to a work colleague who has Landies. He suggested rebuilding the engine.

Try John Craddock in Cannock, if he's still around!

A real gentleman with more knowledge about Series than anyone I have ever met!

Thanks for the replies.

John Craddock does still sell online.

From looking online the bits for the rebuild will cost a couple of hundred.

I did think about putting a TDi in, but it would probably push my insurance up even more. Wouldn't it be classed as a modification?

Fit a 200 as the DI insurance is then about the same as it has no turbo...that what I have in mine...thrilled to bits with it.

Nick.
