what common problems do they get?

they are gutless and me old v8 was better on the fuel

they have less power than the diesel with the fuel economy of a v8 - dont bother

That say's it all, don't waste your time on one. If you want a petrol engined Disco perhap's consider an LPG converted V8 which will return the same fuel running cost's as a diesel, but with the bonus of a great sounding motor and more oomph.

I bought one for spares back in the summer for 150 quid. I just left the engine in it when I took the remains to the scrapper.

cheap to buy.Get one and stick a 300tdi in it!
