n/s outer sill replacing
both rear trailing arm bushes replacing
3 brake pipes
both rear shockers replacing
Dont slag off 2.0mpi's........its ran for 6 years without any problems on the engine. You can't say that about many diesels.Yes it may lack in power but it has been hellish reliable.

@ Robert..............I can do all the work myself.I used to own a garage and i'm a quailified mechanic and qualified auto electrician and welding isn't a problem. Could just keep her as a spare tow car incase something ever goes wrong with my new Disco,a 2002 4.0 v8 ES with LPG
£100 in parts, which is nothing,i put that in fuel in my new 1, per week. And a week of welding which is free, both the steel and the labour. i think im leaning towards repair and keep as a spare.
I'm a sod for keeping hold of cars and not wanting to sell them even when i have bought a new 1....I had to go on holiday for a week while my better half sold my escort gti which i had owned from new and it had 17k miles on the clock when it went and it was 8 years old and was in showroom condition and had never been out in the rain.I couldn't face getting rid of it. Broke my heart lol
I can't help feeling that the mph disco is going to be one of those super rare land rovers that we will read about in land rover mag's in 20 years time. Every one just scraps them now. Be different, do it up.
I have decided that she is gonna get restored and then put into dry storage... She could end up,as you say to be a rare land rover in time to come.
I may even strip her totally and do a full chassis up restoration and make her concourse.
