Again hi everyone
I have acquired a 1997 RR 4.6 it has a few issues of which i can deal with, however the cruise control does not function, if anyone can give me suggestions as to where to start and what to look for in rectifying this problem i really would appreciate you help

The air pipes to the bellows split for a passtime.

If you are following the owner's manual and it is not working then it is almost certainly split/perished rubber vacuum hoses around the T piece RHS of the throttle assembly.

Check the Vacuum hoses as the perish and split easily...

if they check out, check the little bellows on the Throttle link is holding a vcuum (suck on the pipe to it and plug with your tongue and see if the bellows stays put under vaccum)

Check the brake pedal switch which has the vacuum vent pipe to it...

Check the Vac pump is running

And last but not least the Rotary Coupler on the steering wheel...

when I did mine replaced all the pipes anyway as they do perish so a good thing to do just for info mine was rotary coupler
