Recently bought a my first Land Rover a couple months ago and have since noticed mine is very shaky compared to my friend. It’s shakes when idling. Now I know it’s basically a tractorcar so I didn’t think anything of it until I drove a few of my friends defenders with the same engine. I will add a video of the engine idling a revving with a little shot of the engine mounts. I’m am somewhat mechanically minded but have never worked defenders so I wouldn’t know where to start to diagnose the problem. Any help is appreciated!!

Timing may want a very slight tweak, sounds healthy enough tho

Idle speed a bit low,engine mounts gone soft. most of the shake is with the air cleaner,check its fixings.

Sounds about right - the air cleaner mounts have gone - prepare to skin your knuckles changing them

Doesn't even sound too tappety

it's being eaten alive by rust worn so it can't be a Freelander. Could be a disco.
