Hi there,

I have a mate that needs to get rid of his 1990 Disco, and unless somebody can save it, it's off to the scrap man the end of this week or early next.

It's a 1990 V8 3 door, and I think it may be worth something to a entusiast, as this was one of Landrover's press cars, and was a works car. The registration is G***WAC Not sure of the numbers, but as I say it was once a press car.

It's a non runner, not sure what happend, but it was running then slowed to a crawl then stopped. It is a manual transmission.

Anyway, I thought I'd see if this would generate any interest, otherwise at £155 per ton, it's going to be weighed in very very soon.

I remember my uncle (he worked at lode lane) picking me up in the works cars of that time as a kid, and they were all G***WAC too.

Cheers,

Rob

Is it cranking? If so check basics, do you have fuel in it?, is the fuel getting to (I presume) carbs? is there a spark? what is the compression like?

Car is located in Coventry. I have no idea what state the engine is, as it's my very un-mechanically minded mate that owns it.

The vehicle is complete, except for some parts have been taken off the engine when attempting to diagnose the running issue (not removed by me) but I am assured they are in the boot or car somewhere

It's G308WAC
