iv got the chance of a set of 17" (triple sports) wheels and tyres for not a lot of money...they came off a 99 model but mine is a 2002, will they still fit without any probs? :scratching_chin::confused:

I would say yes, but is one for SV tbh.

I would say no, unless they wheels were originally from an 01MY>on car.

Any wheels upto 2000MY will not fit the later models. If they are local to you, there is nothing stopping you from trying a wheel on your car before you part with the cash :)

yes they will fit the stud pattern is the same but the earlier 15 ins wheels will not as they had smaller drums ect. i suspect that the 17 ins wheels came of a later model

AFAIK - having tried various wheels on my 2005MY (built in 2004) vehicle, it's the curvature/clearance of the spokes that gives the problem, rather than the diameter of the wheel.

Any wheel fitted or designed for use after the introduction of the TD4 or V6 will fit any Freelander - no matter age. The 1.8s were also fitted with the modified wheel as of the same date - which as far as I can determine was at some point in late 2000 or 2001 - but officially 2001MY - I think?? but no-one has yet posted the exact date the first V6s and TD4s actually came off the production line.

I believe the V6 was in LandRover press releases in June 2000 and the car was officially introduced at the Geneva Motor Show.

The 17" Triple-Sport wheels (Part Nr. RRC114790MNH) were introduced at that time too.

They wheels that sparksbandit has posted about may well have come off a 1999 vehicle, but it don't see how it could have left the factory with them originally.

Anyway that's not what he asked - so my best answer is yes they will fit as they were designed for vehicles with the bigger brakes.

Hope that helps.

The later wheels have a greater offset, allowing better clearance for the calipers and drums.

Technically speaking, the early type wheels will fit the later models, but they need wheel spacers
