Hi all.

12 Way Fuse Box

Gonna be installing one of these bad boys behind the passenger seat to power accessories. Only problem being, how can I create switched sources for things like gauges and my CB? I obviously don't want them powered all the time.

Could I incorporate some sort of relay? Power from battery running into relay, to one bank of that fusebox (thus 6 sources), and jumping off the steering column for the 12v that flips the relay on?

Then the second bank of 6 sources in that fuse box could be permanent 12v. Would that work?

what gauges and where are they to be mounted?

depending on the year, the dash and bit to the left should have wires there, as you could get optional extras. for your cb, i'd add something down by your fusebox.

There's gonna be 5 gauges I think, oil pressure/temp, boost, voltage and a rev counter. It's a 1990 90 so I doubt I'll have any excess wiring hidden behind the dash

Boost gauge on a tratter is a bit like a peep hole bra for an octogenarian. And if you ever post a picture with 'One life, live it' I will have to come around your house and beat you

Unfortunately not. I had tackled that earlier, however a screw from the grille has fallen into the mount on the chassis, just above where the captive nut lives, and I can't get it out again. So the bolt won't pass through both holes....

Exact thing I pulled out of the toolbox when it happened, too fat to fit through hole, magnet not powerful enough to attract the bolt.

only useful thing about a boost gauge is it lets you know when you have a split pipe

That and the fact that I'm still a child, and swooping gauges make me feel funny inside.
