hi there im a newby on here thinking of getting a 110 hi-cap pickup and want to make it into a tipper with the original back how big a job is it?

Why not look for a 130 tipper. I have never heard of a 110 one I'd say its to small to be worth the effort and money.
 
ye a 110 tipper is quite small you may as well get in there with a shovel. 130 tippers are more practical and you can buy them as tippers already.
 
running a ram wont be easy, and adding it will reduce ya load space unless ya want a large overhang.

I too have been looking into tippers, I’ve got fed up with chucking logs out the back by hand. Id love a 130 but they seem a bit big for manoeuvring round woodlands, ive seen a landy on ebay (quite a while ago) where the original hi cap tub had been converted to tip, and I've wondered how bigger job it would be. I’ve looked a few with custom made tipping backs but there very pricey and think I need to cut a bit more wood before I can afford one.

my mate is just starting on his conversion of his hi-cap tipper. i has baught the tipping bed, ladder frame and pump and ram from a tranny tipper and then just bolting it on the chassis rails on his 110. think we will have to do abit of chopping but you can pick up that lot 2nd hand from popular auction sites dirt cheap.. depends if you are willing to do some work??
 
i saw the same hi-cap on ebay and that was what gave me the idea. yeah i'de be will to do some work my dad was a landrover mechanic back in the day so im sure he'de help out
