I want replace my truck cab on my 2001 110 td5 defender and I have a few questions that I need help with please.
1. Can any hardtop be used ie tdi, as i've seen a few on e-bay but with no age on the description.
2. What the method of connection to the windscreen.
3. Is there any special tools needed??

You will need a couple of mates to give you a lift and basic tools . any era 110 roof should be OK

It bolts to the windscreen. There are special plates for this that the bolts bolt to. They are a couple quid each. Check out the parts numbers section.

The plates are already there if he has a truck cab.
