Hi all new to landy zone , I have been looking at a defender 300tdi that's been sat for a year , it starts and idles fine but when you get up the road it dies down with no throttle response spluttering abit then picks back up again awile later ? Iv Put fresh fuel+filter in.

HI Tim. Fuel lift pump may not be working right.If fitting a new one get a Delphi.

Okay fuel lift pump guna be a big job or quite simple ? It's getting fuel to the filter but just not running right

Very easy to do the lift pump, a couple of awkward bolts

sounds like fuel starvation so air leak in the fuel line on the way to the pump seems the most likely cause. start at the tank and work your way up!
