Hi all,

I've just acquired a 110 2.5 CSW on LPG. it's been sat for a couple of years so needs some "recommissioning" lol. Obviously the LPG system will need serviced, an under slung tank replaced and also put onto the LPG register too.

I also have a 200tdi disco that's dead now, but I bought it for the engine and I've run it for its last 25000 miles so know its good.

What would you guys prefer to be running around in the LPG 2.5 or the 200tdi? Cost wise it think getting the LPG sorted will work out slightly cheaper but not by much.

Cheers,
Paddy

It's already got LPG fitted and I do about 20k miles a year (hopefully less this year as I've just bought a small 1.1 French banger )

I think all the LPG will need is either a new underslung tank and certifying probably about £300 all in where as the disco motor will need an exhaust and god knows what else lol....

Cheers,
Paddy

you sound set on the lpg

now - do you want to sell the 200tdi ;)

:violent:

NOOOOOOOOOOOO......... If I keep it I'll have to get another Landy (or rechassis the 2a I have lol)

:D :D

Following on from your reply in my other thread the disco got ditched last week on the south Deeside road in between Maryculter and the park quarry. I was driving home at 5am prior to the plows being out, hit glass ice and lost it. The A pillar is bent, screen cracked and the wing/light/bumper junked too :(. It had 11 months mot on it also.....:(

ah thats a bollocks especially with the mot.

nasty road that in the winter- especially to make it through the worst of the snow this year and then it happens now.

id go with the lpg , bloody sight quieter than a 200tdi thrashing away , and similar performance i would say JMHO

Brake the v8, sell the lpg system and tank and get a low mile 300tdi. 300 on ebay 450-600 quid there are a few 65,000 miles or so complete with everything. Just my opinion
