I have a 110 hard top rotten chassis with id for sale in cambridge.
Vin plate and paper work.
It is listed in the for sale section somewhere.

Why do you need the ID. it's an offence for anyone to scrap a vehicle and Not inform DVLA.

Too many people these days flogging id's knowing full well it'll probably be put straight on a stolen landy.

Massive grey area this is.

ID should stay with the chassis so if you want a good usable chassis it should come with ID.

If a chassis is beyond realistic repair then the ID should be scrapped with it unless replacing the chassis with new like for like in which case the old chassis should be destroyed.

In theory it's illegal to put a vehicle on the road on a 2nd hand chassis that didn't come with ID.

Rotten chassis' with IDs are whats feeding theft.

I guess people might buy id for stolen cars but that's not the sellers fault.
This subject seems to get some people hot under the collar.

I'am open to offers
Ebay had two auctions for defender vin plates and log books list only a couple of weeks go.
One made over £600 and the other was listed at a starting price of £450 and the listing was ended as the seller must have been offered a cash offer.
