I have recently bought and refurbed some 11" twin leading edge brakes for the front of my S2, are these side specific if so how do i tell, Im assuming that brake pipes go towards the back.

Yup side specific, the adjusters go on the leading edge of the shoe so the right hand side will be top right and botton left as you look at it, left hand side will be top left and bottom right.

You could clock them to make bleeding the brakes easier, this involves turning the backplate clockwise 1 bolt hole to make the bleed nipple the highest point.
