Hi All,

Is there any way to know if my RR 2.5DSE with BMW Engine (Aug 97) will be supported by this?

As I understand it, I may be wasting my time due to its age. Can anyone help me out here please.

Not a peep out of my elm when connected to my 2000my 2.5 dse but get revs and engine temp on my mates 2000my vectra diesel hope this helps.

I does, but it doesn't do anything for my confidence though.

When the snow stops I'll fire up a terminal and see if I can talk to it using raw OBD codes.

That's what I have been using! EasyOBD II v2.2.0 I get :

PC Comm Port OK
I/F COnnected - PWM/VPW/ISO/CAN
Vehicle Data Bus OK
No Vehicle Response / Connection or Power

Bugger!

well its finding the vehicle. Try scanmaster or pcmscan????

:doh: Silly me! Nah only joking yes of course it was. But the weird thing is I took it up to the garage earlier this afternoon and they used some soft or hand held device and theirs worked!

I'll see if I can get the unit to connect to another vehicle before I whine at the seller.

mine is fine with my petrol ecu, i'm sure its drivers or com port. I know mines kiked off from time to time, especially if i plug owt else in
