Not a stupid question when its bloody freezing, you have your car on axle stands waiting for a part then they send you the wrong side !!!
Some places quote left and right from inside car and others from outside looking at front!!
when these parts places quote "left hand" and "right hand" are they sat in vehicle or looking at vehicle from front ??
which is drivers side ??
confusing? offside is always offside and nearside is always nearside... the kerb that isSomewhere in Rave it says 'sat in the vehicle looking forward'
'Near or off' is not a good idea, confusing with LHD as its wrong.
Nathan, offside is always offside and nearside is always nearside... the kerb that is
But the nearside becomes the off side when I cross the channel or dont you bother!
Tis a system thats bin used for quite a while...successfully in thinkSomewhere in Rave it says 'sat in the vehicle looking forward'

Say no moreYou have an odd way of looking at things vic.
if you cross the channel in you own motor 'its' nearside remains unchanged it's just not next to the curb when you drive over there.
nearside is the left in the UK. In the extremely unlikely event of ordering parts for LHD car here in the UK then you would obviously be more careful with terminology.
