Hi all, I have a p38 and on the slam panel it has a badge/plaque that says "Land Rover Special Vehicles, Solihull West Midlands" It also has a contract no. stamped on it and the date of first registration. Now on the logbook it says its a Range Rover Efi.... Its a p38 Diesel though...!!!? So that made me confused, I have been on the parts websites online and the reg (N388 KKH) of the car comes back as a rover 75 on one site, Then unknown on another, Some insurance sites dont recognise it either, So i phoned dvla and they confirmed the reg as a blue p38 diesel. "correct"!! Also dvla website only recognises it as a rover not a land rover... Its really weird... Any ideas or suggestions anybody?? Thanks alot. Nick. Also logbook says date of first reg 01-11-95 Manufacture date "unknown".......?? RANGE ROVER EFI!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!

you could try getting one of them test check services done. its only about 3 quid and it should tell you about its history. or try ringing the historical dept at landrover, not sure of address. you will need the vin number.

i cant see anyone rining it with a rover 75!!

never tried this but if you go to a main dealer and give them the details off the special plate they can look it up.

mine has a special plate on it, its special cos i lurve it and i can get a huge breakfast on it, or are we talking about some other plate????

sell ya item comes back as rover range rover diesel reg jan 1995 tis probably one of the 1st p38's? or its a ringer

Mine has a special plate being a ex police p38. Only found out about trying a main dealer when i could not find a clutch to fit it.
