Hi
I've just fitted a new donut and torqued up to 35lbs/ft as recommended in the Haynes manual.

I've found I can still turn one of the bolts by hand after this.

Does it need tightening more?

It can't be right as it is can it?

Cheers

The lower figure is for the bolts at the transfer box end.

They are M12 bolts, so you're not going to over-stress them at 56ft lbs, it's the bushes inside the coupling that will get damaged if you over-tighten them.
