Has anybody fitted a starter motor to a TD5 auto ? Any tips or tricks ? what should I typically pay for a starter motor ?

when starting sometimes OK sometimes clicks solenoid but doesn't turn motor, then turn key a few times and starts eventually. checked battery and all OK.

sound like you just need the ebay kit
removed a manual starter and there not easy well the top bolt is a pig and its a different size to the bottom 2

Did it last night ! Put on ramp and starter easy enough to remove, even the top bolt. Just use 15mm sock and medium extension. Got new solenoid on starter for £25, 20 mins to re-fit.
