hi, i own a 1991defender and ive done oil seals in the axel as they wer leaking. now they are still leaking on both sides! can an1 help me as my head is bursting?

check your breather isn't blocked.

where is breather? is it on top of axels?

yes.
remove the banjo union and check that it's clear, then blow the pipe through too.

when you say axle seals. which ones have you changed? there is an axle seal in the stub axle as well as either end of the hub before/after the bearings.

there is ment to be a metal cone with a rubber washer or seal. not doing it myself so not to sure!

no!

if yours is an early one, it might have a little valve with a spring-loaded ball in it. If so, check that's clear / free to move.

sounds like you need to do the seal thats attached to the stub axle.

and he said union not onion. just undo the breather and you will see
