hi have noticed ive got a hole about an inch square when i open rear door hole is in corner and obviously goes through to rear arch, anyway i was wondering if this would be a test failiure and wondered if i need to have welded or i could fill and spray etc myself, thanx in advance

It is an MOT fail. It will be within 12 inches (30cm) of rear seat and seat belt mountings. For that reason it must be a welded repair.

:welcome2: if you didnt fancy welding you can get some kurust from moto shops and you can get metal filling crap in halfords wich will do the job just dont use filler

Well actually mine, had the same size hole in the same place and failed due to a previous owner filling it with "metal filling crap"

I got the hole welded up inside and a plate welded over the hole under the arch. Cost me £40 and an hour without the car and it flew straight through on it's re-test.

That metal filling crap is only glorified filler, it need welding.

Mine's the same welding it today in-fact, before it gets any worse. It'll take longer to get all my tools out that doing the job lol.
