I thought standard 110 rims were 6.5" tubeless, which should be fine with yer 255s.
somebody might have put tubes in em, but they should be tubeless rims.

there must have been a change of thinking at some point, pre approx 92/93 110s deffo had tubed 750s as standard

yup

tubed 750s is what were on there. the 255s fit on, but theres now tubes in tubeless tyres which I don't like, plus one of them has got a slow puncture

They fit if you take the centre cap out, i was going to put em on mine but they dont suit it (looks ****)
